The morning session of the first day of the test was cold and overcast, Mark Webber was on good form and continually set the quickest times of the day, but Mario Haberfeld had an electrical problem with his car whilst going out on new tyres. This unfortunately put an end to the rest of his session therefore putting him in tenth position. After the one-hour lunch break the rain started to fall and gradually became heavier and heavier so both drivers completed some laps to get the feel of the car in wet conditions.

Mark Webber 1:36.811

"We had a very productive morning. It was a pleasant surprise that we managed to get some dry running in, the car felt very good in the dry conditions and we were constantly making small improvements ready for the first race. This afternoon we did just five laps to have a run out in the rain, but nothing more."

Mario Haberfeld 1:38.146

"I think this morning I had a lot of problems. Although the balance of the car feels quite good we weren't able to put in a quick time because when we went out on new tyres we had an electrical problem and because of this we didn't run any more in the morning. In the dry I am confident that we can be very quick but in the wet I think we have a bit of work to do so it would be quite good if tomorrow is the same as today, so that we have two scenarios to test in. But in the dry we were the quickest on old tyres and then we had an electrical problem so I think it was ok."

"The Super Nova team had an excellent test day at Silverstone today, Mark Webber was quickest by nearly half a second from Justin Wilson. Mark's confident mood has perhaps come from a successful three-day test with Benetton last week, here at Silverstone.

Mario Haberfeld was unlucky to have some electrical problems, which spoilt his first run on new tyres. Then at lunchtime it started to pour with rain so Mario will have to wait until tomorrow to improve his tenth position from this morning."

The second day of the test began very similar to the end of yesterday with the track being very wet due to overnight rain. Both Mark and Mario continued their work practising wet set-ups during the early part of the morning session. The track dried out in the last hour of the session and this is where the quickest times were set, but Mark and Mario were not out on the track at this point, hence their positions 23rd and 24th respectively. The afternoon was a lot brighter and the drivers had a very successful afternoon. At the mid way stage Mark was lying in second position and then a few minutes later Mario set the second fastest time. On the driver's last set of tyres, Mark regained second quickest spot but Mario encountered some traffic and finished just behind him in third.

Mark Webber 1:36.444

"It was great to have another dry run before we go to Brazil as it was good to get the final little bits of information for the first race. The boys have done a really good job to get a good car set up for the grand prix here at Silverstone."

Mario Haberfeld 1:36.593

"Considering all the time that we lost yesterday, today has been a good day. Fortunately the weather helped us, as we were able to do wet and dry testing. We improved the car quite a bit in the wet and mainly the car feels very good now. On the last set of tyres we were a bit unlucky because on my first lap someone came out in front of me in the pit lane and then on the second lap, I was four tenths quicker up until Club, but I got too close to the driver in front of me and I spun. I think finishing third is quite good but I had the potential to finish first. Hopefully the bad luck is behind us and we won't have any traffic in Sao Paulo!"

Team Manager - David Sears

"Another very productive day for the whole Super Nova team with Mark Webber ending up second quickest by only 0.1 of a second from Sebastien Bourdais with a 1:36.4.

Mario Haberfeld ended up third fastest with 1:36.5 and for a lot of the afternoon was quicker than his teammate.

In the morning the track was wet but after lunch it dried out and in the cold sunny conditions testing times were half a second faster than this time last year.

Both drivers are confident that they will be competitive for the first race in Brazil in three weeks time."
