GP2 Asia Series

Super Nova International Racing confirm that the team will take part in the newly announced GP2 Asia Series starting in January 2008.

The series will run from January to April 2008 and will be twinned with the Speedcar Touring Cars Series and the weekend event will be known as Grand Racing.

From next year, GP2 Asia will support some grand prix in Asia, "with this number expected to increase year on year as the formula one calendar expands into Asia and the Middle East", organisers explained.

"The popularity of motorsport in Asia and the Middle East is growing all the time, and the Grand Racing event is well poised to capitalise on this," said F1 Bernie Ecclestone.

"It will also give gifted drivers from the region greater opportunity to aim for formula one seats in the future."
