2007 sees a return to Bahrain as the season opener. The GP2 Series car has changed a great deal since it was last raced in the desert, so the form book could well be thrown out of the window. The circuit is situated at Sakhir, 30km from Manama and is 5.4km in length. It proved an instant hit with the GP2 Series in 2005 with its wide straights and elevation changes providing a stern but enjoyable challenge.
