Team Principal David Sears' thoughts on GP2 Asia Series

In the eagerly anticipated new GP2 Asia Series, which commences today in Dubai,  David Sears takes a moment to comment on how is views the challenge ahead for the team and Championship.

"I believe that the GP2 Asia Series will be a fantastic platform for the teams to develop Asian drivers for the Main Series and hopefully attract new sponsors into GP2, for the benefit of the series.

Super Nova welcomes back Fairuz Fauzy who has already driven for us in 2006, and who's sponsors are really excited about this new series. We are also pleased to be running Christian Bakkerud who has tested very well for us at the end of last year and who we believe will be much more competitive now.

From a teams perspective the GP2 Asia Series gives us a 12 months a year business now, which I think is a just reward for the teams that have helped GP2 develop in the first three years of the Main Series. The whole team are looking forward to the new challenge."
